About Colmers Hill Fashion

Set in the beautiful surroundings of the Symondsbury Estate’s Manor Yard, award-winning Colmers Hill Fashion has a wonderfully relaxed and tranquil setting. Our name is taken from the hill just behind us which forms an iconic part of the West Dorset and Jurassic coastline.

The business has been set up by Penny Callaghan who has many years of experience both in fashion promotion and retailing. She previously owned a boutique and cafe in Lyme Regis for 12 years but moved to more peaceful surroundings at Symondsbury Estate in 2015.

Colmers Hill Fashion was voted Best UK Online Boutique 2017 as part of an international awards scheme set up by The Boutique Hub. Over 400,000 people voted in the awards. In 2020, it was voted Best Retailer and Business of the Year in the local Bridport Awards based on Secret Shopper visits.

The fashion we select is chosen for its individuality and whether it’s for a special occasion or a casual outfit, we want it to be a head-turner … for all the right reasons! Designer labels stocked in-store and online include: Naya, Maison Hotel, Red Button, Alison Sheri, Kozan, Foil, Luella, Sasa, Powder Accessories and Envy Jewellery along with Penny’s own label: From My Mother’s Garden which won British Brand of the Year in the 2022 Boutique Magazine Star Awards.

We like to provide a very friendly and relaxed environment and service. Being tucked away in a rural setting away from the hub-bub of the high street, you can take your time to try on lots of different styles and get honest feedback if you want a second opinion.

If you want to visit us in person, there is plenty of free parking all year round and a lovely cafe for coffee, lunch or tea and cake. You can even take a walk up the iconic Colmers Hill if you feel like getting some Dorset air in your lungs!
