Desigual is designed in Spain and Colmers Hill Fashion is a top UK stockist of the fashion label. Known for its colourful and playful women’s clothing designs, Desigual is a top favourite with our customers.
Thomas Meyer created Desigual in 1984 in the vibrant and energetic Spanish city of Barcelona. He designed a jacket that is now considered one of the fashion sector’s first ever upcycled products. Then filmmaker Isabel Coixet whispered a word, “Desigual”, and accompanied it with the motto “no es lo mismo” (“it’s not the same”).
The brand works with Christian Lacroix who designs part of their seasonal collections in his own immutable style.
In 2020, Desigual turned 36, and believed that there’s something missing from the world and it needs a little more love. They have made it their mission to inspire and help anyone who looks to them to help them love what makes them different and, also, to love differently. Love Different is Desigual’s brand claim, a leitmotiv that will stay with them. They are the result of a vision to dress people through a different way of making clothes – clothes that have the power to change moods – because we believe that dressing is a declaration of intent.
